Daniel Sturridge wants Real Betis move: Spanish club in talks with Liverpool over loan

DANIEL STURRIDGE is up for a January move to Spanish side Real Betis.

The striker has been plagued by injuries for the past three seasons and has fallen out of favour at Anfield, with boss Jurgen Klopp preferring Roberto Firmino.

He could seek an exit as he bids to gatecrash Gareth Southgate’s World Cup plans.

And according to El Gol, the Reds could send the striker off to La Liga.

Liverpool are said to be in talks with Real Betis over a six-month deal, with the view to something more permanent next summer.

Sturridge is reportedly keen on the move and the likelihood of playing every week as the World Cup looms large.

“The former Stoke and Blackburn man has also been linked with Arsenal and Everton but could be persuaded by the prospect of Champions League football.”

Sevilla were also said to be keen on the Kop king, but he's more interested in moving to Betis.

He thinks he'll get more game-time with the club, whereas he'd be well down the pecking order at the Ramos Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sturridge would also be unavailable for Champions League matches for the club.
