NICK HEIDFELD has come to the defence of Formula E rival Nicolas Prost after Lewis Hamilton criticised the latter for his driving.

Hamilton hit out at Prost in an Instagram post this weekend, before hurriedly deleting the message.
He had called for the driver to be banned after seeing a clip of Prost shunting Heidfeld in a Formula E race.
Hamilton deleted the message once it was revealed to him that the crash happened three years ago.
And Heidfeld has jokingly sent a message to the F1 world champion assuring him that he is all well.
“Lewis, first of all thank you for your concern,” Heidfeld said after returning home from Sunday’s Hong Kong season opener.
Thx.. + Sorry @LewisHamilton that I pick up on your deleted post but that open goal was just too good not to "score".. í ½í¸‹ @FIAFormulaE @MahindraRacing pic.twitter.com/KgVEAboYLj

“I’ve just landed safely, although it felt like it was for ever, the landing.
“The crash in Beijing was three years ago.
“Now I’ve just come back from my first race in Hong Kong and I can assure you, sort of, that since then I’ve had many races with Nico without… well, nearly without any problems.”

Formula E kicked off with two ePrix over the weekend in Hong Kong.
Britain’s Sam Bird won the first race with DS Virgin Racing, with Sweden’s Felix Rosenqvist storming home for Indian team Mahindra Racing on Sunday.
Heidfeld finished third and fifth in the two races respectively.
