Bourses return in upward trend

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) returned to the upward trend on Tuesday, the third  trading day of the week, but the turnover edged lower than the previous session.

In Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 648.50 crore.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 6,286 points increasing 23 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached at 1,390 points increasing 3 points.

The DS30 index also gained 11 points to stand 2,278 points.

Of the issues traded today, 156 advanced, 126 declined and 50 remained unchanged.

In Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), turnover stood at Tk 32.32 crore.  

Selective Category Index - CSCX - lessining 88 points to stand at around 19,485 points.

Of the issues traded, 115 gained, 90 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

SU
