A eight-year-old girl, studying in class II, went missing from her residence in the Mela Hospital under Nagar Kotwali limit on Sunday evening. After the father of the girl, Satish Kumar, a sanitation worker in a homeopathic hospital, lodged an abduction complaint with police, a search operation was launched and a woman was taken into police custody. Police said that as per the preliminary investigation, two young women had lured the girl away. The girl was yet to be traced till the time of filing this report. Police said that the investigation was on and the girl would be traced and the culprits would be nabbed.
As per the family members of the missing girl, she went missing from her residence at around 6 pm on Sunday. After the family members started searching for her some neighbours told them that they had seen her going with two young women.
SP City Mamta Vohra said that while the search is on police are questioning some suspects.
