The 66th annual conference APCON-2017, supported by Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists and annual conference of International Academy of Pathology– Indian Division would be held at Gandhi Medical College, Department of Pathology, from December 6-9, 2017, said organising secretary Prof. and Head of Department, Pathology, Dr Reeni Malik while interacting with the media persons on Monday.
The chairman of the organising committee would be Dean Gandhi Medical College Dr MC Songra.
The first workshop will be on Approach to diagnosis of acute Leukemias’ by one of the renowned haemotologist Dr Tejinder Singh.
Another workshop will be on Immunohitochemistry – technique and interpretation by Dr Rajni Parmar.
The conference will be in its full fledged prospect from December 8 commencing with the research methodology sessions which will continue with the plenary session by the IAPM (Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists). The Final day of this scientific feast on December 10, will commence with the guest lecture by Dr. Anand Lagoo (USA) on update on WHO 2016 Lymphoma Classification followed by Education discussion session on “MCI UG Curriculum” in Pathology.
The organising committee would shoulder with the responsibility after 45 years, as the college hosted the same conference before in the year 1972 under the Guidance of Professor Dr PL Tandon.
The event is comprised of different forms of scientific sessions, seminars, presentations, symposia and workshops to be conducted by numerous eminent National and International Pathologists.
Several reputed Pathology faculties from different prestigious national and international Universities would participate.
