Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013, the date on which its first Director was appointed. The institute is currently operating from its transit campus at Habitat Centre, Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the research project funded under DST-NANOMISSION scheme, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Title of the Research Project: Enzyme activated targeted nano-formulations of autophagy/ apoptosis-inducing agents as potential therapy for drug resistant lung cancer

Qualifications:
Essential: M.Pharma,/ MS(Pharma) / M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Biotechnology (GPAT/NET/ GATE score is preferable)

Desirable: Research experience in development of nanotechnology based formulations and cell culture is preferred but not mandatory.

Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 13th December 2017 which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India

Stipend: Rs. 25000 + 10% HRA

Project duration: Three years (Initially appointment will be given for one year and likely to be extended based on mutual agreement and the performance of the candidate)

General Terms and Conditions:
The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of INST provided they satisfy eligibility criteria. 

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
