Shares of Infosys (Rs 296.49 crore), HDFC (Rs 153.91 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 118.73 crore), DLF (Rs 109.22 crore), SBI (Rs 107.75 crore), RIL (Rs 98.59 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 64.11 crore), PNB (Rs 60.35 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 52.46 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 49.17 crore), Vedanta (Rs 47.89 crore), Larsen & Toubro (Rs 46.63 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 46.07 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 41.31 crore) and Aurobindo Pharma (Rs 39.85 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value in the early trade on NSE on Monday.

Shares of Infosys jumped 3 per cent in Monday's trade after the company announced Salil Parekh as the new chief executive. Among foreign brokerages HSBC maintained buy on the stock with a target price of Rs 1,050. Macquarie has outperform on the stock with a target of Rs 1,070. Citi and Credit Suisse are 'neutral' and have targets of Rs 900 and Rs 1,000, respectively, on the stock.

In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Finance (down 1.86 per cent), HPCL (down 1.42 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (down 1.38 per cent), Sun Pharma (down 1.38 per cent), Cipla (down 1.35 per cent), Wipro (down 1.21 per cent), M&M (down 1.03 per cent) and Coal India (down 1.01 per cent) were among the top losers.

On the other hand, Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 2.71 per cent), Infosys (up 2.52 per cent), Tata Motors (up 2.09 per cent), ONGC (up 1.70 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 1.20 per cent), Tata Steel (up 1.10 per cent), Vedanta (up 1.03 per cent), GAIL (up 0.92 per cent), Zee Ent. (up 0.78 per cent), HDFC (up 0.76 per cent) and Eicher Motors (up 0.68 per cent) were the top gainers of the index.

During the day Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd., Setco Automotive, LCC Infotech, Dhanuka Realty Ltd., Biocon, Digjam Ltd., Ramky Infra, Kothari Sugars, Samtel Color, Vikas GlobalOne, Madras Fert, Bhagyanagar Ind, Fineotex Chem, Apex Frozen Foods Ltd., Nagreeka Capital are the stocks which touched their fresh 52-week high.

On the other hand FCS Software, Zenith Birla, Steel Exchange, Gallantt Ispat, Golden Tobacco, Dynamatic Tech, Glenmark Pharma, Lupin, Visesh Infotec, Rasoya Proteins, Sujana Universal stocks hit their new 52-week low.
