A 24-year-old man has been arrested for his alleged role in looting and killing a woman in southeast Delhi, police said today.

In July, Sarita (53) was found dead inside her house and valuables worth over Rs one crore were stolen.

The family's domestic help Roshan, Sonu Paswan and Shiv Narayan were arrested, but two others--Paswan and Beni Prasad Yadav-- were evading arrest, police said.

Paswan and Yadav were declared proclaimed offenders by a local and a reward of Rs 50,000 was declared on each of them by the Police, they said.

"The inter-state cell of Crime Branch was tasked with gathering information about the accused and their possible hideouts," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) said.

Subsequently, Paswan was arrested last month by the Crime Branch from Bahraich. It was learnt that even Yadav was in Bahraich.

On December 2, Yadav was spotted moving towards the Galla Mandi Chowk, Bahraich, and was chased for more than 150 metres and finally arrested, the official said.

Yadav had planted one Roshan as a domestic help at Sarita's residence and planned the dacoity, police added.
