6 injured as car hitspedestrians on JK highway

A speeding car rammed into pedestrians on the Jammu-Pathankote Highway, leaving six persons injured, police said today.

The car carrying three persons to Jammu lost control and hit three pedestrians on the highway at Barwal Morh in the district last evening, police said today.


The vehicle later hit a tree, they said adding six persons were injured in the accident.

In another mishap last night, a truck carrying apples to from Kashmir skidded off the road and rolled down into a canal in Bari Brahmana belt of Samba district, police said.

The driver and conductor of the truck escaped with minor injuries, they said.
