Minor boy killed in Ludhiana

Press Trust of India  |  Ludhiana

An eight-year-old boy was allegedly killed by a man in Ahluwalia colony here, police said today.

The father of the boy, in his complaint, claimed that a man allegedly pushed his son from stairs yesterday which led to his death, they said.

However, the police said the boy appeared to have been allegedly strangulated to death.

On the complaint of the father, a case has been registered against the man, who has been arrested, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dhruman Nimble said.

The DCP said there was no injury on the body of the victim.

"He seems to have been strangulated to death. But the exact cause of the death will be ascertained after the postmortem," the DCP added.
