COMMUTERS across Britain caught a last glimpse of the incredible supermoon lingering over the UK this morning. Here are the best photographs from across the world.
Over in America, the supermoon appeared blood red as it rose above the US Capitol Building in Washington DC last night.
NASA also released an image of an aircraft taking off from Ronald Reagan National Airport and passing in front of the moon as it rose.

In the UK, the supermoon was seen rising above Whitby Abbey in Yorkshire last night and setting over Huddersfield in Yorkshire this morning.
Tom Kerss, an astronomer at Royal Observatory Greenwich, said it would reach its highest point above the horizon at about midnight last night.
At 3.47pm - the exact moment of full moon - it was 222,761 miles from Earth, closer than the average distance of 238,900 miles.
