Jashn-e-Urdu from Dec 8

A festival of Urdu Jashn-e-Urdu will be organised in the city of lakes from December 8 to 10. The festival is being organised by Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy Cultural Department at Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium.

Interestingly, the entire event is focused on the youngsters and their interest in Urdu language. Minister of Culture Surentra Patwa and Principal Secretary of Directorate of Culture Manoj Shrivastava will be present as the chief guests of the occasion.

The entire event will be an amalgamation of Sufi Music and dance, Dialogues, Seminars, Painting, Open Mike, along with Urdu Education, Language and Literature, Calligraphy Workshop and book fair.

Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy secretary Nusrat Mehdi said that considering the interest of Urdu in youth, the above event is mostly dedicated to the younger generation.

She further said that on December 8 a session for journalists will be held, which will be followed with a screening of an Urdu film.

A series of solo presentations based on Urdu poetry, Ghazals, Names, and the main stage, from 6:30 am to Umesh and Presentation of collective Urdu songs by Harmony Group, Tanora Sufi dance of Egypt, Musician of Ghazal, Nazm will be performed.

A painting competition based on Allama Iqbal, lecture series, and discussions on various topics related to Urdu will be held on the second day.

Mehfil’s Literary Open Mic will also be a part of the event which will held on the second day.

Giving the budding writers and poets a sturdy platform the open mic will also be held.

It will be conducted by Ansh Happiness Society. Sufi dance will be done by the children of Arushi will be another special feature of the three-day event.

The event will be concluded on December 10 with Sufi ghazals, seminars, Sufiyana Kathak, Jashn-e-Khusro and more.
