Marques assures statement in two days: Police

Mapusa: Anjuna police on Monday summoned Verla-Canca sarpanch Milton Marques in connection with the alleged sexual harassment case involving advocate Aires Rodrigues.


Police said that Marques personally went to the police station seeking more time to be present before the police to record his statements


Anjuna PI C L Patil informed that Marques has sought two more days to record his statements, citing the reason that it was the feast of St Francis Xavier at Old Goa. Marques was summoned because his name surfaced in the video attached to the sexual harassment case. Anjuna police has already summoned and recorded statements of Rodrigues.


Rodrigues was booked on charges of sexual harassment, defamation and insulting modesty of a woman.
