Governor Vajubhai R Vala has shot off a stinker to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah complaining about a Cabinet minister for publicly criticising the Raj Bhavan, it is learnt.

Apparently, this is the third time Vala has complained against the minister. However, the Governor has not named the minister in his letter.

"A minister in your Cabinet is publicly chiding the Raj Bhavan. Either you tell him to stop, or I will do so in my own way," the Governor is learnt to have stated in the letter, according to sources.

It is said that Vala was referring to Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddi, who has publicly lamented the delay in the appointment of vice-chancellors to Bangalore and Mysore universities. As Governor, Vala is also the chancellor of universities who appoints vice-chancellors.
