Mumbai: City-based channel partner Software@Work has been spearheading efforts to make SME’s aware and compliant with the new GST framework for Tally users. The company has recently conducted an awareness meeting for SMEs on the GST filing.
The recent workshop, which housed around 80 SMEs was organized to assist customers and to avoid mistakes in filing the GSTR 3B and GSTR 1 Return. The workshops addressed key issues like, how to update new GST rates, handling reimbursement of the Expenses; preparing the export Invoice/SEZ Invoices and Deemed Invoices; rectifying the mistakes or revisions in the GSTR-3B (if any wrong information or missing information is added to them, ensuring the inward/outward supplies to composition dealers are included in GSTR 3B, ensuring that a business owner had included all entries correctly in GST Returns, passing Bank Charges entry & its effect in GSTR -2 & 3B, passing import entry with custom duty & other charges with input IGST, reconcile book liability with the GSTR- 3B liability, pass reversal of input tax credit with ineligible expenses entries, passing final liability adjustment entry, ensuring that the changed vouchers (done while filing GST Returns by the GST Tax practitioner or Accountant ) are easily identified; generating GSTR-1 JSON file directly from Tally; and tips on filing GSTR-3B correctly.
