Four killed in land dispute in two dists

At least four persons were killed and 15 injured in separate clashes over land dispute in two districts- Kishoreganj and Habiganj, on Saturday.
KISHOREGANJ: A youth allegedly killed his aunt and two cousins over land dispute at Tarakandi Purbapara Village under Pakundia Upazila here on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Taslima Akhter, 28, wife of Mosharraf Hossen, and Niloy, 10, and Raisa, 8, son and daughter respectively of Mosharraf.
The alleged killer, Mobin, 26, son of Alam Mia attacked the victims on Saturday morning, leaving them dead on the spot.
Later, local people caught Mobin and handed him over to police.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pakundia Police Station Md. Shamsuddin confirmed the incident.
A case was filed in this connection, the OC added.
HABIGANJ: A person was killed and 15 injured in a clash over land dispute at Shibpasha Village under Azmiriganj Upazila here on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Nurul Amin, former union parishad member.
Police said Nurul Amin was in conflict with Masuk Mia over the land. On Saturday afternoon, Nurul Amin and his men went to take ownership of the land when Masuk Mia resisted them.
At one stage, the two groups were locked in a clash when Nurul Amin was seriously injured. Later, he died on the way to Habiganj Adhunik Sadar Hospital.
The injured were admitted to the same hospital.
Assistant Superintended of Police Sugyan Chakma confirmed the incident.
