Because of demonetization and Goods and Service Tax (GST) India’s informal sector has hit by 30 per cent, said former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday at Surat while interacting with businessmen in the poll bound state. He claimed this on the basis of the data recently released by Central Statistical Organization (CSO). Singh further said that GST was nothing but tax terrorism which took away more than 30,000 jobs in Surat alone.
