Kohima, Dec. 4 (EMN): Justice LS Jamir, Judge of Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench, and executive chairman Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), has launched the poster campaign on the theme “Connecting to you” at the going Hornbill Festival at Naga Heritage village, Kisama, on December 4.
Justice Jamir hopped that the district legal services authority in collaboration with the churches and village councils would sensitise the people on the issues of the posters on Consumer Protection Act 1986, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005 and Your Rights Post Sexual Assault.
Nino Iralu, Member Secretary NSLSA, said that the panel lawyers and para legal volunteer of the Wokha District Legal Services Authority would take posters and paste it on the morungs to create awareness.
Delivering the welcome address, Akumla Lonhgchari, Coordinator NSLSA, apprised that one of the oldest and best way to create legal awareness is through poster campaign. She said that poster is simply the means of communication by using pictorial signs in simple words and convey a lasting image and message to audience in a very informative and interesting way.
