DUBAI: Emirates Global Aluminium, the largest industrial company in the UAE outside oil and gas, has been named founding partner of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic as the company extends sponsorship of both Dubai’s major professional golf events until 2021.

EGA has sponsored the Dubai Desert Classic since its inception in 1992 and the Omega Dubai Ladies Classic since its first edition in 2006.

In October, EGA announced an agreement with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council to become a presenting partner of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

The event has been renamed the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA.

EGA is the only company to sponsor professional golf in both Emirates.
