Select copra gains on rising demand

Mumbai, Dec 4 (PTI) Copra office Alappuzha, Copra office Kozhikode and copra rajapur Mumbai gained further at the spices market here today following rising demand from stockists and retailers amidst good export offtake.

While, rest all other spices held stable in the absence of any large scale buying activity.

Copra office Alappuzha, copra office Kozhikode and copra Rajapur Mumbai firmed up by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 14,100, Rs 13,900 and Rs 17,500 from last weekends's closing Rs 14,000, Rs 13,800 and Rs 17,400, respectively.

Black pepper (per kg) 395/475 (395/475), ginger unbleached (per kg) 125 (125), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 14,100 (14,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 13,900 (13,800), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) Rs 17,500 (17,400), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 15,500 (15,500).
