Dulquer Salmaan: Creating waves

Young heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan is going places. For the next few months the hero will be seen in languages other than Malayalam. His Bollywood debut, Karwaan, is currently underway. The Telugu film Mahanati and the Tamil film Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithal are also at various stages of production.

Karwaan, directed by Akash Khurana, has Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar as his co-stars. In Nag Ashwin’s Mahanati, Dulquer plays yesteryear hero Gemini Ganeshan. Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithal is being directed by Desingh Periyasamy.

Dulquer, who commands a huge fan following, is regarded as one of the style icons from south India. It has been quite a roller coaster ride for him at the box office this year, with big successes like Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Parava, while Comrade in America and Solo had an average run at the cash windows.

These are crucial days ahead for the hero and Dulquer Salmaan is all set to scale new heights.
