Laxmipur ex-civil surgeon jailed for assaulting ADC

Laxmipur: A mobile court has sentenced former Laxmipur civil surgeon Dr Salahuddin Sharif to three months in jail for assaulting Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Morshedul Islam.

Nirbahi Magistrate and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Nuruzzaman handed down the verdict on Monday.

Witnesses said a fisticuffs took place between Dr Salauddin and Morshedul at the entrance gate of Kakoli School and College over a trifling matter.

Being informed, police went to the spot and taken Dr Salauddin to district administration office.
