Sex abuse case: FIR filed against Kolkata principal

KOLKATA: Prompted by mounting pressure from multiple fronts, police on Sunday registered a case against the principal of the school in which a four-year-old girl had been allegedly sexually abused by two of her teachers.


Sharmila Nath, the principal, was booked for denying, and trying to conceal the sequence of events leading to the crime on Thursday. She was charged under Sections 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating).
