Minor kidnapped, raped in Amroli; four booked

Surat: Four persons were booked by Amroli police in Surat for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old minor girl in an apartment at an unknown location.

The rape survivor, who lodged the complaint on Sunday, was abducted from her home in Amroli by the accused. One of the accused raped the minor, while others helped him, the police said.

One man named Ajay and three others were booked following a complaint by the survivor. She alleged that she was kidnapped and raped on Saturday night. Medical test of the girl has been conducted and report is awaited.

The minor alleged that she was near her home when the accused Ajay and his aides came in an autorickshaw. They made her smell some material after which she lost consciousness. She regained consciousness at 4 am on Sunday and found herself without clothes in an apartment. She also found Ajay sleeping besides her. When she knocked the door of the room, a woman opened it and later dropped her near Utran railway station. From there she contacted her parents on Sunday afternoon.

The minor could not confirm to police that she was raped by the other accused. Police are trying to ascertain identity of the accused.
