FRANKFURT—Lufthansa CEO Carsten Spohr said the airline has offered to take over Air Berlin’s subsidiary Niki “with almost no slots” to win regulatory approval by the European Commission (EC). Spohr said Dec. 4 that Lufthansa’s remedy proposal includes keeping no current Niki slots at Dusseldorf Airport in Germany, and only a few in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
