Thousands of midday meal women cooks staged a massive protest in Bhubaneswar. The protesters sat on dharna at Mahatma Gandhi Marg demanding a minimum salary of Rs18000 per month along with other basic facilities. Women cooks of midday meal from across the state took part in the protest. The protest caused traffic jams in and around the protest venue.
