Justice VK Tahilramani to take over as Acting Chief Justice: Bombay HC

As per a government notification, Justice VK Tahilramani will take over as Acting Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court on December, 5, 2017.

She will take over from Justice Manjula Chellur, who has been in charge since August 2016, and will attain superannuation on the said date.

Following the retirement of Justice DH Waghela in August 2016, Justice Vijaya Kamlesh Tahilramani had served as Acting Chief Justice briefly then.

She joined the Bar in 1982, and has served as a Government Pleader and Public Prosecutor for the State of Maharashtra. Justice Tahilramani was elevated to the Bench in the year 2001.
