Awareness programme

KOCHI: In an awareness programme on the need for vaccines, Dr Amitha S Alunkara said medical knowledge should be used as a weapon to fight against rumours that spread untrue information about vaccines. The awareness programme was organised by the District Information Officer at the Pukkattupadi Vallathol Library.

Dr Alunkara said people who spread such rumours should not be allowed to degrade the achievements Kerala had earned in the field of healthcare.Vaccinations are available not only for polio, diphtheria and Measles-Rubella but also for various other diseases, she said. As the country develops, more vaccines will be made available.
