Gurgaon: The MCG has launched an online system, which allows residents and officials to monitor the civic projects being undertaken by the corporation.
According to an MCG official, the idea behind the work monitoring system is to ensure transparency about projects being undertaken by the corporation and also to keep residents, officials and other stakeholders informed about the status and quality of these projects.
"The work monitoring system is available for anyone to see on the MCG website, where they can check the type of projects and their status at any point of time during the year," said an MCG official.
Anyone seeking information can access the system on the corporation's website. It lists the projects currently underway by name, scheme under which the project is being developed, location of the project, work progress, start date of the project, status of the project and the expected completion date.
As of now, the website shows there are 787 projects under way. The system also lets one upload pictures from the site of a project.
"The system not only keeps residents informed about the work being done by the corporation, but also lets them report the status of projects by uploading pictures of the project on the website," said the official.
There is also a toll-free number where residents can call for details regarding various MCG projects.
