GOP leaders increased confidence after Senate vote win

(MENAFN) Following the Senate vote win, Senate Republican leaders are more than ever confident about the tax reform legislation passing through that they accepted a spending bill so that the government won't shut down after Friday as the House and Senate decide on landmark tax-reform legislation by Christmas.

Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee, Sen. John Barrasso, confirmed to Fox News in regards to the separate tax overhaul measures of the chamber that "we're not that far apart."

Sen. Barrasso said "people wanting to keep more of their hard-earned money. That's what you see in the bills, absolutely there are some changes that still need to be made in conference to work these things out."
