THANE: A 52-year-old schoolteacher was attacked by a group of masked assailants on Sunday night at Lokmanya Nagar area in Thane.
In his complaint, the victim, Mahajan Prajapati, has named his school principal and his son as the accused. A month ago, Prajapati had registered a non-cognizable case against the principal who had allegedly threatened him at gunpoint. Prajapati claimed that he and some other teachers were being constantly harassed by the accused.
A case has been registered and the cops will go through the CCTV footage recovered from the spot. The victim is currently recuperating at a private hospital. "We will also take help of eye-witnesses for more leads. We have registered a case under Section 326 of the IPC. More sections are likely to be added in the case," an officer said.
