SANGRUR: A 22-year-old son of an Akali Dal leader suffered injuries after being shot at by a group of men in Sangrur district on Monday.
Gurdeep, the son of party's women wing leader suffered a bullet injury on his thigh and was referred to a bigger hospital for further treatment.
The police have arrested four man in connection with the case.
The accused have been identified as Manmohan Mohna, Gurpreet Singh, Yadwinder Singh, and Komaljit Singh.
The police claimed that the accused were once friends with Gurdeep but turned foe due to some tussle. Police said that on Sunday the victim had an argument with the accused at a marriage function.
"We are investigating the matter. However, we have arrested the accused under sections of attempt to murder and Arms Act. We have also recovered two illegal 12 bore weapons and around 9 cartridges from their possession.
