With cyclone Ockhi playing havoc with the weather and the sea turning rough, water sports activities ground to a halt as operators and tourists preferred to avoid untoward incidents. Popular beaches across the state bore a largely deserted look with jet skis and adventure boats being hauled onto the beach for safety.
"We did not suffer any loss but till the sea conditions improve we will not restart water sports," said a representative of Goa Water World, Calangute.
