Morata moved from Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge for £65m over the summer and has impressed since making the switch.
The 25-year-old has scored ten goals in 19 appearances for the Blues this season, including the second in their 3-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday.
Conte has been delighted with his forward’s form and has backed him to kick on and cement his place among the elite.
He said: “Alvaro is very happy to play for Chelsea and I am very happy to have a player like him.
“For Alvaro this is the first season to play with regularity. He is showing to be a great striker.
“He has a lot of room for improvement and can be one of the best, best strikers in the world.”

Morata’s Spanish compatriot Cesc Fabregas is also enjoying a fine season so far.
Conte has hailed the midfielder for keeping the faith despite his difficulties at times last term.
The Italian chief added: “I think Cesc at the start of the last season didn’t play a lot.
“He didn’t play but I was very happy because through the work he tried to change my mind and it happened. In the second part of the last season he started to play with regularity.
“He played a lot of games and was very important to win the title. He continued to work very hard and he showed me great commitment.

“The coach must make the best decision for the team. I have tried to do this, this season he is playing, with regularity and well and I hope in the future it continues this way.
“For sure he is young. When you are 30 years old you have at least five years to play football.
“To play at this level you must have great will and desire. It is not simple.
“He has great ambition and is a winner, in his mind and mentality. For this reason he is very strong.”
