Physicians’ Education Resource® Awards Dr. Roman Perez-Soler as the 2017 “PER® Educator of the Year”
Dr. Perez-Soler was awarded at the 35th Annual CFS: Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow meeting
Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), the nation’s leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education (CME), honored Dr. Roman Perez-Soler as the 2017 “Educator of the Year” during the 35th Annual CFS: Innovative Cancer Therapy for Tomorrow meeting, announced Phil Talamo, president of PER®.

Currently, Dr. Roman Perez-Soler is the chairman of the department of oncology and chief of division of medical oncology at Montefiore Medical Center and serves as the professor of medicine and molecular pharmacology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical research focuses on novel approaches for the treatment of lung cancer and has been funded continuously by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). With over 200 peer-reviewed publications and 16 granted patents, Dr. Perez-Soler has made significant contributions in the anticancer drug development in the areas of EGFR inhibitors, topoisomerase I inhibitors and novel delivery systems.
The PER® “Educator of the Year” award highlights the accomplishments of an oncology professional. The award honors their contributions and efforts to propel the field of medical oncology forward through education and promoting innovation.
