Conte on Newcastle win
11:55: Antonio Conte wasn’t fully content with Chelsea’s performance in their 3-1 win over Newcastle.
"I think our start wasn't good enough," he said.
"After going 1-0 down, we started to play with good intensity and good football. Our start was a bit slow.
"We did well after only two days' rest. It was a solid performance despite the goal. We showed good motivation and good intensity.
"I made rotations in the game and the response of my players was positive.
"I think that today, to play and win after two days of rest means a lot. Newcastle had the advantage with one day more of rest."
Benitez backs Blues
11:00: Former Chelsea caretaker boss Rafa Benitez tipped the Blues to finish in the top three after their 3-1 win over his Newcastle United side yesterday.
"They have a very good team and they have to compete for the title," he said.
"It's obvious they are one of the teams who will be in the top three."
Chelsea remained in third following their win, three points better off than Liverpool in fourth.
Shearer praises Hazard
10:00: Alan Shearer hailed Eden Hazard in the wake of Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Newcastle United.
"He was unplayable at times - he was just magnificent,” the former hitman told Match of the Day.
"Newcastle couldn't get near him with his running with the ball or his running off the ball.
"He was so intelligent, his link-up play with Alvaro Morata was so good.
"His game had everything with it. He was running the show."

Conte wants Aubameyang
09:00: Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to add Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to his attacking options.
The Gabon star is set to leave Borussia Dortmund in the new year following a series of disciplinary issues.
And Express Sport understands Conte wants to bring him to the Premier League to play alongside Alvaro Morata.
Chelsea are not the only English club interested in getting Aubameyang on-board though.
The former Saint-Etienne hitman could reunite with his old Dortmund gaffer Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Courtois exit shock
08:15: Chelsea would rather lose Thibaut Courtois on a free in 2019 than sell him to Real Madrid next summer.
That’s according to The Sun, who say Antonio Conte wants to keep hold of the Belgian for as long as possible.
Courtois has forged a reputation as one of the world’s top stoppers during his time with Chelsea.
And his performances at Stamford Bridge have seen him touted as a target for Real boss Zinedine Zidane.
The Sun claim Chelsea are unwilling to sell him though and would sooner see him run down his contract.
Alli lucky claim
07:30: Tim Sherwood believes Tottenham star Dele Alli is fortunate not to be playing for Chelsea because the Blues wouldn't give him a second chance.
"Like all of them we expect so much of them [young players] and that’s only credit to him that we expect him to do it week-in, week-out," Sherwood told BT Sport Score.
"But we’ve all been young once and I saw you [Sutton] when you were 21 years of age and he [Sutton] had spells where he was scoring every week.
"But then you’re gonna have a dry spell and you’re gonna have to get through it.
"Fortunately, for this kid, he’s gonna have an opportunity to get through it because he’s got a manager [Mauricio Pochettino] who backs him.
"If he was at Chelsea now, or at Man City, and he had a barren spell, you’d never see him again."
