A friendly cricket match was organised between the parents and teachers of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur at its premises on Saturday in which the parents’ team won by six wickets.
Ranji players Rashmi Ranjan Parida and Biswa Bijayee Chandra Chuda Mohapatra, school chairman MM Panda and Principal Dr KC Satapathy inaugurated the event.
The teachers’ team captained by Dr Prakash won the toss and scored 161 runs of six wickets in the allotted 20 over batting first. While parents’ team captained by Jitu Mahapatra outplayed the teachers’ team scoring 164 runs in 17.3 over losing four wickets.
Nabakishore Mahapatra and Bibekananda Das jointly were declared as man of the match. The winning team as well as the man of the match will be honoured at the school annual function.
