Eden Hazard: Chelsea star drops Cesc Fabregas in it with Antonio Conte
EDEN HAZARD has joked Chelsea team-mate Cesc Fabregas was more upset with Antonio Conte's decision to sub the Belgium international in the 3-1 win over Newcastle yesterday than himself.
Hazard was the star of the show for Chelsea with two goals either side of Alvaro Morata's 10th of the season.
The 26-year-old was on course for his first hat-trick since 2014 when he funnily enough fired three past the same opponents.
But just minutes after netting his second of the game, he was hooked off by Antonio Conte to be replaced by Willian.
It is often seen as a bold move by a manager to pull off a player with the chance of scoring a hat-trick.
But when asked about what he thought about being substituted, Hazard was in a playful mood and suggested Fabregas was more frustrated at not being able to rack up an assist.
No it's not a problem for me, it's a problem for Cesc [Fabregas], because he could have make one assist
"No it's not a problem for me, it's a problem for Cesc [Fabregas], because he could have make one assist," Hazard said.
"But at least we won the game, that's the most important thing."
When pressed further to give a more serious answer, Hazard explained he was more focussed on the team achievements than his own personal agenda.

"No, all the players want to play," Hazard said.
"We play on Tuesday I think, so rest is sometimes good.
"But of course when you score two, you want to score a hat trick but the other boys score, no problem."
