Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017: Narendra Modi is addressing over 30 rallies ahead of polls

Ahmedabad:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again visit poll-bound Gujarat today and tomorrow and address seven rallies in Saurashtra and south Gujarat where polling will be held on December 9. Today, PM Modi would address campaign rallies in Bharuch in south Gujarat and Surendranagar and Rajkot in Saurashtra. PM Modi would also visit Ahmedabad in the evening to attend a function at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratisthanam (SGVP).

Meanwhile, former Delhi chief minister and Congress leader Sheila Dikshit on Saturday asked if the claim of the ruling BJP in Gujarat of having undertaken a lot of development is correct, then why was Prime Minister Narendra Modi rushing off to the state practically every other day to campaign.

During his last visit to Gujarat on November 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his rebuttal to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's frequent branding of new national tax GST as the "Gabbar Singh Tax", saying those who looted the country can only think of dacoits.

Without naming Mr Gandhi, PM Modi said, "Today, some so called smart people, some new economists have emerged who are misleading people." 

"Those who have looted people throughout their life, they can only remember dacoits," he added.
