Man City news: Fabian Delph has criticised West Ham

Manchester City survived a major scare to recover from a goal down and put West Ham to the sword.

Angelo Ogbonna gave the Hammers a shock lead before Nicolas Otamendi and David Silva hit back.

And Delph, who started the game for Manchester City, has criticised West Ham for their defensive tactics after the game.

"It was difficult, teams seem to come here and get every man behind the ball, not interested in anything but parking the bus," he said.

"But we have players like David Silva in the team, so we knew if we kept going we'd get our chances.

"We knew we had to be patient, we came out flying in the second half, we tried to explain to the boys we still had time and then we started to relax a bit more and found those spaces.

"We want to win the derby but we are taking it each game at a time."

BBC pundit Robbie Savage was left impressed by City's fighting spirit.

And he also thinks Pep Guardiola's side are capable of scoring goals out of nothing.

"I thought it was an outstanding game," he said.

"West Ham were disciplined in the first half. City have got outstanding individual talent and a great team spirit.

"Another win. You know it's coming.

"West Ham's players gave everything today but Manchester City kept going. They are unbelievable, they just believe they're going to score goals."
