In a game City were expected to win with ease, the Hammers sensationally took the lead at the Etihad when Angelo Ogbonna headed past Ederson just before half time.

Nicolas Otamendi then pulled the league leaders level in the 57th minute, converting past Joe Hart after a great cross from Gabriel Jesus.

But just as it seemed the away side were going to pick up an unlikely point in Manchester, David Silva bagged the winner seven minutes from time - volleying home Kevin De Bruyne’s delightful cross into the box to make it 2-1 and snatch three points for City.
