The Strictly Come Dancing presenter's sibling, Sophie Winkleman, 37, suffered a suspected broken back and foot after the vehicle she was in crashed into a car that swerved to avoid a deer.
The wife of Lord Frederick Windsor is facing weeks of recovery in hospital after the accident near Saffron Walden, Essex.
She was being driven in the back of the chauffeur-driven vehicle on the way back from a film set before the accident 10 days ago.
The mum-of-two was travelling back from filming Trust – a US Danny Boyle TV series – at Audley End House.

She was rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with the drivers of both vehicles, before being transferred to London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Witnesses described seeing horrific wreckage amid fears Ms Winkleman suffered more serious injuries.
She remains in hospital and has been visited by family – including her father-in-law, the Queen's cousin Prince Michael of Kent.
