
Integrate every sector with IT: CM

VIJAYAWADA: “With rapid changes in technology, students should update their skills to meet global demands,” said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, during the valedictory function of mega job fair held in the city on Saturday.Naidu said students should come up with innovative ideas in technology and Internet-of-Things (IoT). He said every sector should be integrated with IT to create more employment opportunities. Speaking on the occasion, IT Minister Nara Lokesh said 12,985 persons have been employed in the IT sector in the last three years. He said a target has been set for providing one lakh IT jobs and two lakh jobs in the electronic sector by 2019.
Stating that more companies are coming forward to invest in AP, thanks to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s vision, he said 1,087 candidates were recruited by 47 companies in the mega job fair organised by AP Information Technology Academy. Special chief Secretary and IT advisor J A Chowdary, IT Principal Secretary K Vijayanand, AP IT Academy CEO B Sundar and others took part in the event.
