Martial was given the nod over Marcus Rashford on the left wing and repaid manager Mourinho by providing the assist for Jesse Lingard’s first goal.

However, when Alexandre Lacazette fired Arsenal back into the contest, Mourinho hooked Martial and replaced him with Ander Herrera.

But Martial was spotted calling Mourinho “puta” which translates as b**** when his number was up, 101GreatGoals claim.

Much has been made of the Frenchman’s relationship with his manager.

Martial toiled last season, seemingly at odds with Mourinho after previously blossoming under Louis van Gaal.

However, he appears to have won his manager’s faith after being picked over Rashford for the Arsenal clash.

The England international has been an ever-present on the left-hand side with Mourinho a known admirer.

Yet Martial now appears to be above him in the pecking order.

The 21-year-old could now start next week’s huge clash against Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Defeat on home soil, coupled with a City win against West Ham today, would see them fall 11 points behind their fierce rivals.

United lost 2-1 in the same fixture last term.

Kevin De Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho struck to inspire City to a derby win, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic on target for the Red Devils.
