BITING COLD: These girls braved the bad weather for a big night out in Newcastle

Revellers in Newcastle stepped out without a care as they enjoyed some weekend drinks to celebrate the first Friday night of Advent.

Sub-zero overnight temperatures have been recorded across the country over the past few weeks.

But that didn’t stop the Brits for bearing the flesh for a boozy night.

Luckily the clubbers only had to deal with temps as low as 2C in Newcastle.

With legs and shoulders bared however, it must have been bitingly cold.

Two blonde Geordie lasses looked absolutely frozen as they pulled their evening coats on tight over their dresses.

Meanwhile, one lad beat the cold by wearing a cheeky Christmas jumper with the message: “Pull me, I’m a cracker”.

But some ladies didn’t even bother with a coat, showing legs, arms, shoulder and backs despite the cold.

REVELLERS: These ladies look very unimpressed with the cold weather

Forecasters are predicting more cold weather to come this week as polar air sweeps in across Britain.

Gusts of up to 55mph, mixed in with snow, could see blizzard conditions across the UK.

Forecaster Brian Gaze, from The Weather Outlook, said: "A very wet and windy period could be seen on Wednesday and Thursday, with cold Arctic air returning afterwards and the risk of heavy snow pushing south later next week."
