Thuwngkhu Cup 2017 The Elite Squad, Telien FC, Slumber Boots secure huge wins

Imphal, December 02 2017: Thuwngkhu Cup 2017, which got underway from November 28 at Mini Stadium,Chandel saw another day of high scoring matches with The Elite Squad, Telien FC and Liwa Sarei Youth Club demolishing their respective rivals to advance to the next round .

In the first match of the day, The Elite Squad hammered Chamdil Authority to secure an impressive 9-0 victory.

Tepa of The Elite Squad struck the opener early in the 2nd minute followed by TS Warkham in the 5th minute.

The nervous Chamdil Authority worsened their condition by conceding an own goal in the 23rd minute to give the winning team an easy 3-0 first half lead .

The goal fest continued in the second half with Anothony taking the honour to strike first in the 49th minute to make the scoreline 4-0.Three minutes later, it was TS Warkham again scoring his second goal of the match.

The rest of the game was handled by Thangtilen pumping in four goals in the 57th, 68th, 71st and 79th minute to give his team a convincing 9-0 victory .

In the second encounter TELIEN FC saw off Endangered Squad 11-1.Rengdon (11′), Lenmingou (14′, 60′, 70′), Bongthol (18′), Sailemlal (20′), Bungthot (22′, 30′, 75′) Shamkal (48), and Boimin (65) scored for TELIEN FC to notch up a huge 11-1 victory .

Endangered Squad scored one goal through SR Warningam in the 50th minute of the match .

Slumber Boots thrashed Liwa Sarei Youth Club 4-0 in the last match of the day.

Bungpem scored a hat-trick through goals coming in the 10th, 36th and 60th minute and David scored one goal in the 66th minute to complete the 4-0 rout .
