NEW DELHI: A day after the completion of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), Donald Trump and Narendra Modi together expressed satisfaction at the outcome. Trump and Modi spoke on Friday night and complimented themselves on the summit. The GES was jointly hosted by US and India.

In a statement, the White House said, "The leaders expressed satisfaction with the recent Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), co-hosted by the United States and India, which brought together entrepreneurs and investors from around the world, including 38 US states, the District of Colombia, and Puerto Rico."

Trump's daughter Ivanka led the US delegation to the summit, where she met Modi and other Indian leaders. "For all of our progress, gender divides on access to technology, nutrition, and health, prevents women, their families, and their communities from reaching their full potential," state department spokesperson Heather Nauert said this week.

The newly appointed US ambassador Ken Juster tweeted, "The summit brought together hundreds of entrepreneurs and investors from all over the world -an important step toward fostering innovation, growth and prosperity and creating jobs."
