Pakistan- Crackdown launched against illegal rickshaws in Peshawar

(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 3 December: After the use of a rickshaw in terrorist attack on Directorate of Agriculture in Peshawar on Friday, police have launched crackdown against illegal rickshaws in the provincial capital.

Sources said police along with Excise Department officials conducted raids at various bargains and auto workshops on Saturday. However, no details were available as to how many rickshaws were confiscated.

The law enforcement agencies had already expressed concern over the existence of more rickshaws with same registration numbers in Peshawar and other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The rickshaw used in Peshawar terror attack also had a fake number plate and its chassis number was also tampered.
