Pakistan attack: Talibani gunmen kill 8 students and an officer at Peshawar's training college
On Friday morning, around three gunmen affiliated with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), stormed into a college in Peshawar, killing at least nine people and wounding 35, police and hospital officials said.

According to the media report, the attackers disguised in burqas (an enveloping outer garment worn by Muslim women in Islamic tradition) arrived in an auto rickshaw at the Peshawar Agriculture Training Institute, where the attack was carried out by the gunmen, Peshawar police chief Tahir Khan said.

Eight students and an office worker have been killed in the attack, Pakistani police informed.

However, the Pakistani army has made it clear that all of the attackers have also been killed, who shot a security guard before entering at the campus.

During the attack at the college, at least one blast was heard from inside the campus, according to media reports citing the army.

Police and army commandos have cordoned off the site in view of maintaining the security at the high level.

"We were sleeping when we heard gunshots. I got up and within seconds everybody was running and shouting 'the Taliban have attacked'," a wounded student, Ahteshan ul-Haq told Reuters.

In 2014, at least six Taliban militants had attacked an army-run school in Peshawar that left around 141 people dead. This deadliest terrorist attack was termed as 'Peshawar school massacre,' which was one of the worst assaults in Pakistan's recent history.
