However, the Pakistani army has made it clear that all of the attackers have also been killed, who shot a security guard before entering at the campus.
During the attack at the college, at least one blast was heard from inside the campus, according to media reports citing the army.
Police and army commandos have cordoned off the site in view of maintaining the security at the high level.
"We were sleeping when we heard gunshots. I got up and within seconds everybody was running and shouting 'the Taliban have attacked'," a wounded student, Ahteshan ul-Haq told Reuters.
