The cast of This is Us share some engrossing anecdotes about the show

This is Us, gives its audiences yet another dose of heartbreak and unprecedented love! The show that revolves around the complicated lives of the Pearson family members, instantly captured a huge fan base owing to their relatable struggles, tear-jerking plot lines and huge cliffhangers at the end of each episode.

With the fall finale of This is Us slated to appear today, let’s take a look at how this season has been shaping up so far! Good and bad things, both come in a trio. Right from Kevin drowning into a vortex of alcohol and pills to Kate’s miscarriage to Randall grappling with the custody of Deja.

Kevin’s recurring knee injury, his addiction to painkillers, his heavy reliance on alcohol, his incapacity to grieve his father’s death have all plagued Kevin to come to a dangerous head. Kevin gets arrested for Driving under the influence (DUI).

Things take an unexpected turn when his nieces crop up in the back-seat pleading with him to slow down as he swerves through traffic.

But he’s not the only person hitting rock-bottom. Kate is unable to confront the pain of her miscarriage. As her high-risk pregnancy ended calamitously,

Chris Sullivan who plays Toby on the show, says, “Miscarriage happens a lot more than people are willing or able to talk about, just because it’s such a hard thing to talk about.”

He talks about the importance of moving forward after the trauma of miscarriage as a couple, “I was humbled and eager to have the discussion. Pregnancy is difficult enough, and for Kate, it was complicated a little more by her age and the other factors, and so it was tricky for sure.”

Shauna has been released from prison and it’s time for Deja to bid adieu to Beth and Randall. Their goodbyes will leave the audience in a puddle of tears, with Deja embracing Randall for the first time.

 Sterling K Brown who plays Randall on the series, divulges details about his character’s struggles with figuring out the best environment for Deja, “There are arguments for either side, but what there is no argument for, from my perspective as the person who plays Randall is that there is a mother who desperately wants to be with her child and is actively making strides to provide a home for her. And also, a daughter who wants to be with her mother.”

Adds Brown, “The social worker is taking the necessary steps to reunite them. Then, who are Beth and Randall to come between the two people who were together before, and wish to be together again?”

The poignant fall finale of This is Us’s Season 2 airs on December 2 at 9 pm on Star World.
